JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has started the auction for the Obstacle Free Road (JBH) construction project or the Balang Island - Sp Jembatan Segment Toll Road. Riko at IKN is worth IDR 3.6 trillion.

If nothing changes, the signing of the contract for the construction of the IKN Block Free Road for the Balang-Sp Island Bridge Segment will be carried out on October 10, 2023.

To date, 39 tender participants have participated in the auction process.

As previously reported, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force at the Ministry of PUPR, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, said that the progress of IKN development had reached 40 percent, until August 10, 2023.

"There are 78 packages of total work in 2020-2024 with Batch 1, especially those who started working. Batch 1 has 39 packages with a value of IDR 24 trillion, the progress is 40.0131 percent," Danis told reporters at the PUPR Ministry Building, Jakarta, Friday, August 18.

Danis said that in the future the improvement in development will appear to be in line with the work of buildings that have begun to penetrate the area above the building, where the foundation construction has been completed.

He is optimistic that his physical progress can reach 70 percent, by the end of 2023.

"If one week the progress is an average of 2 percent, it is hoped that by the end of the year it will be 70 percent," he said.
