Regarding The 2024 UMP, The Minister Of Manpower: Decided November

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said that the increase in the provincial minimum wage (UMP) in 2024 will be announced in November.

Ida said, currently his party is still absorbing inspiration, including from workers and entrepreneurs regarding the demand for an increase in the UMP. Where it is known that the union is asking for an increase of 15 percent.

The discussion on the 2024 UMP will be held at the National Wage Council (Depenas). After discussion, Dapen will recommend to Ida. He also confirmed that it would be completed before November 2023.

"That's the decision in November, of course before that. We are absorbing aspirations to improve the revision of PP No. 36, we will continue, we have heard several provinces. The aspirations of all stakeholders are not only bad but also businessmen," said Ida at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 15.

Ida said, the UMP penetam must be calculated carefully. The goal is not to harm the employers or laborers in the future.

Furthermore, Ida said several aspects considered in determining the amount of the 2024 UMP are economic growth, including inflation. Including data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

"Yes, there is an opportunity to increase because if there is economic growth, inflation is controlled, we will reach a conclusion. The data we use is from BPS," he explained.
