Usai Diresmikan Presiden, PLN Pastikan Siap Pasok Listrik Untuk IMS GBK

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Indonesia Arena or the Indoor Multifunction Stadium (IMS) in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Monday, August 7.

PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo, said that the Indonesia Arena was equipped with electricity with the ZDT scheme that was dedicated so that every national and international sporting event or concert would take place without flickering.

"PLN is ready to support and succeed in every sporting activity event as well as music concerts, which are guaranteed reliability," said Darmawan, quoted on Wednesday, August 9.

The PLN boss added, through the ZDT scheme, PLN has alerted layered electricity supply security at activities that will take place to maintain the safety and comfort of using electricity in the ongoing event.

Supporting equipment such as the Mobile Substation Unit (UGB), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Mobile Distribution Control Center (DCC) as well as standby posts and PLN officers will be alerted at the substation to ensure layered electrical security at every event held, concluded Darmawan.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that Indonesia now has an international standard stadium with a capacity of 16,000 spectators.

"Today we already have a name Indonesia Arena, a stadium with a capacity of approximately 16,000 spectators, and the construction only takes 18 months," said Jokowi.

In addition, Jokowi explained, this Indonesia Arena can be used for various sports as well as music concerts.

"Indonesia this arena can be used for basketball tournaments, especially for badminton, for volleyball balls, for futsal, and also of course for concerts," Jokowi explained.
