Berkebaya Palace is Supplied With Unflinching Electricity

JAKARTA - The Celebration of the Berkebaya Palace, which was held by the Presidential Palace in front of the Merdeka Palace on Sunday, August 6, went smoothly with the supply of unflinching electricity from the Greater Jakarta Main Distribution Unit (UID) of PLN.

The General Manager of PLN UID of Greater Jakarta, Lasiran explained, this electricity supply has been prepared since August 1 through the Presidential Palace's electricity revitalization. This was prepared to welcome Independence Month with various activities, one of which was the Berkebaya Palace.

"Electricity supply for the Berkebaya Palace is monitored at the Presidential Palace Powerhouse with a high level of reliability, equipped with a centralized UPS and generator back-up," Lasiran said in a statement, Monday, August 7.

To guarantee uninterrupted electricity, PLN continued Lasiran, preparing a modern integrated electrical system in the Palace area.

Electricity for the palace is supplied from 4 substations which are backed up by generators with a capacity of 4 x 2,000 kilovolt amperes (kVA) and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) of 8 x 400 kVA which can operate continuously.

"A total of 17 people were on standby for the Berkebaya Palace event, scattered at the event location, the electricity distribution substation, as well as at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Powerhouse," he said.

Meanwhile, to maintain beauty, equipment in the form of transformers, UPS, and generators is planted in the ground with a depth of approximately 10 meters, and all of these equipment are guaranteed safety.

"Furthermore, the cable arrangement will be carried out using an underground cable network, so as to maintain the beauty without any cables in the air," Lasiran added.

Berkebaya Palace is a kebaya encim fashion show from Betawi with models walking on stage, such as female ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, wives of ministers who are members of OASE KIM, ambassadors from friendly countries, and the public.

At least 401 participants walked the 200-meter catwalk in the front area of the Merdeka Palace in a kebaya fashion show by Indonesian inspirational female figures.
