Southeast Sulawesi MSME Export Products Majority Of Marine Products

KENDARI - Kendari Type Papuan Customs Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) (TMP) C, stated that the data on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) exporters in Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra) is mostly marine products.

Head of the Customs and Excise Service Section and KPPBC Technical Support Kendari Fardi Saleh said the total value of MSME export foreign exchange recorded from January to May 2023 reached 348,584 dollars or Rp5.2 billion.

"So the value of foreign exchange is contributed by MSME-scale companies in the fisheries sector that export tenggiri fish, kaple fish, and mangrove crabs," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 10.

Fardi explained that the types of vaname shrimp are also the mainstay of exports by a number of companies engaged in fisheries, one of which is PT Graha Makmur Cipta Pratama.

In addition, a number of other companies such as CV Anugerah Dua Putri which exports tenggiri fish also contributed to the largest export contribution.

"We hope that in the future MSME exports will continue to be improved and cooperate with relevant stakeholders so that product quantities can be maintained and even improved," he said.

He said that companies contributing to the value of MSME export foreign exchange include CV Trapwindo Multi Teknik which exports mangrove crabs, CV Jaya Seafood which exports tenggiri and kerapuru fish.

"Meanwhile, the company that exports big fish and fresh mengiri is carried out by CV Abong Ome," he explained.

Fardi added that currently his party is also recording a number of new exporters engaged in fisheries, namely CV Asia Bahari Fishery which exports tenggiri fish, UD Maulana Jaya Mandiri (fresh fruit), KSU Adi Jaya Lestari (sea input), and CV Anugrah Bahari Kendari who export tenggiri fish.
