Land Acquisition Becomes Constraints Of Jambi Toll Road Constraints

JAKARTA - The physical construction of the toll road that crosses Jambi on the Bayung Lencir (South Sumatra) - Tempino (Jambi) route has started to run, but is constrained by land acquisition to be passed by the toll road.

"Currently, developers have started cleaning several areas to build the toll road," said Jambi Provincial Regional Secretary (Sekdaprov) Sudirman, quoted by Antara in Jambi, Thursday.

In addition to being constrained by land acquisition, service providers and the Ministry of PUPR are looking for schemes to handle various forms of soft soil in Jambi, such as peat, swamps to former oil palm plantations.

With the right method, it is hoped that the first toll road that crosses Jambi along the 15-kilometer length can be completed on time in 2024.

Sudirman also admitted that there were several obstacles in land acquisition for the construction of the freeway, starting from compensation for those who rose 100 percent and there was land acquisition on which there was a house of worship located in the Muara Jambi Regency area.

"So far, his party has sent a letter to the Muaro Jambi Regent's Office to solve the problem and wait for the answer of the Muaro Jambi Regency Government," he said.

The Jambi Provincial Government (Pemprov) has sent a letter to Plt. Regent Muaro Jambi, there are some that have not finished land acquisition, one of which is a house of worship and there is land that still belongs to the company.
