JAKARTA - Astra Tol Cipali is still trying to extinguish the fire in the rest area of KM 86 B of the Cipali toll road, until now. The fire that occurred in the KM 86 B rest area since yesterday afternoon was confirmed not from the excavation of a new bore well.

"We have never excavated a new drill well in the rest area of 86 B of the Cipali Toll Road. This burst comes from an existing bore well which is usually used for daily operational needs in the rest area of 86B," said Astra Toll Operations Director Cipali Agung Prasetyo through a press release, Thursday, April 27.

As for localizing the area affected by the bursts of fire, Astra Tol Cipali has installed a spandex shield fence around the 156 meter food court area.

"Since last night, we have installed a spandex shield fence at the location of the fire with a distance of 4-5 meters from the location closest to the source of the fire," said Agung.

Agung said that this was done by his party based on the results of coordination with the Subang Police, West Java Regional Police, Firefighters, BPBD, and Pertamina.

"If needed, we will also look for experts related to this blackout, which of course is in accordance with the results of coordination and recommendations from related parties," he said.

Previously, Agung said, his party had also installed a connecting pipe as an effort to increase the capacity of submersible pumps to improve KM 86 B rest area services. "In this incident, no explosions appeared," he said.

Astra Tol Cipali also expressed his gratitude for the synergy established by all parties, including the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of West Java Province, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Subang Fire Department, Subang Police, West Java Regional Police, and Pertamina.
