JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati asked people living around the Maupn terminal depot at the Pertamina refinery not to light fireworks or firecrackers during Eid al-Fitr.
Nicke said this could cause unwanted losses such as explosions and fires like what happened at TBBM Plumpang.
"We hope that we urge people who live near this terminal refinery not to do that because the impact can be fatal to the surrounding environment," said Nicke, quoted on Friday, April 14.
Nicke added, to prevent unwanted losses, her party has installed safety nets around Pertamina's facilities. This has been done by Pertamina during the Christmas and New Year and Eid al-Fitr periods.
