Lion Air Prepares 1.5 Million Seats To Anticipate Passenger Surge During Eid

JAKARTA Lion Air has stated that it has prepared more than 1.5 million flight seats to anticipate a surge in passengers during the peak period of Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming.

Lion Air Strategic Spokesperson Danang Mandala Prihantoro said the number of seats was increasing compared to the previous period in line with the strategy for additional flights.

"What we are doing is a form of service in order to provide more people with the opportunity to be able to fly to the place they want," he said in a press statement quoted on Thursday, April 12.

According to Danang, passengers have more opportunities to use the available routes.

With the number of seats and increased flight frequency, Lion Air can serve more routes. This allows passengers to choose more time and routes according to their schedule," he said.

Danang added, the aviation industry continues to show recovery. This is reflected in the increasing number of cities that have airports and the easier access to airports with public and private transportation, making air travel more accessible.

"Along with the advancement of technology and the opening of access to information, people's mobility is increasing, including in terms of travel. Air travel is a faster and more efficient choice in achieving the desired goals," he stressed.
