Preparation For Lebaran Homecoming, Jasa Marga Add 20 Dereks On The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) will add 20 special cranes on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road to accelerate the handling of vehicle disturbances during the homecoming and return flow of Lebaran 2023.

Jasa Marga's President Director, Subakti Syukur, said that the addition of the crane is expected to facilitate the handling of problematic vehicles. The reason is, when the flow of homecoming and return, there are always stalled cars.

"Especially for Japek, it is actually 10 lanes that we can use. We will add 20 cranes, so even though the shoulder is used, the previous 14 cranes, we will add 20 so that it is easy for us to slide if someone strikes," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, Monday, April 10.

The details of the placement of the crane are above the previous 3 to 5, while below the initial 13 to 15. So that a total of 20 cranes.

Subakti said the strike car or vehicle experiencing disturbances was the main cause of traffic jams on toll roads. At the moment of Eid homecoming, Jasa Marga always finds a vehicle that strikes.

"At Lebaran, cars usually appear from everywhere whose conditions are sometimes not ready. We always announce that the health of the car is very important, fuel and as happened in the last Eid that broke down was there," he explained.

Subakti explained that the addition of this crane was to facilitate the flow of people passing from Java to Sumatra, or vice versa from Sumatra to Java.

Apart from adding more cranes, Subakti also said that she would not apply one one-way on the Japek Toll Road. This is because there is already a widening of the lane at KM 48 to KM 66.

So people from Jabodetabek and Bandung during one way on the Trans Java toll road from km 72 Cikampek to km 414 Semarang can still use the Japek route. So that's the most crowded so there is no need for one way in Japek or one way which is quite severe around Jabodetabek," he said.
