JAKARTA - PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. launched the drilling program 2023 with plans to drill 11 development wells in 6 fields with a production target of 1,122.62 BOPD oil and condensates and 24.30 MMSCFD gas.

Vice President of Human Resources and Relations PetroChina Dencio Renato Boele said PetroChina, which operates the Jabung Working Area in East Tanjung Jabung and Tanjung Jabung Regencies, West Jambi Province, has started Drilling Campaign 2023 through tajak in three wells, namely SB-D21, NEB-93 and Panen-D15. During January March, PetroChina has carried out 5 (five) workover work and 11 well service work.

Currently, PetroChina has a gas purchase agreement with PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan for lifting oil in the Rokan Block, PT Batam National Electricity Service for electricity in the Batam area and its surroundings, PT Gemilang Jabung Energi for electricity in the West and surrounding Tanjung Jabung areas, as well as PT Perusahaan Gas Negara for the provision of household gas networks in the West Tanjung Jabung area.

In the future, domestic demand for gas is predicted to increase. And PetroChina is ready to cooperate with more parties to meet domestic gas needs," Dencio added.

In 2022, PetroChina recorded a daily lifting realization of an average of 15,618 BOPD oil and condensates as well as 173 MMSCFD gas. Among other KKKS, PetroChina is ranked seventh for oil and condensate production, as well as ninth in production and natural gas lines.
