Muamalat Pacu Sharia Financial Literacy In The Month Of Ramadan

JAKARTA PT Bank Muamalat Tbk. together with Muamalat Institute are said to be increasingly expanding efforts to finance and sharia economics in the month of Ramadan 2023. It is stated that this step also opens the way to deepen financial inclusion in society.

SEVP Human Capital PT Bank Muamalat Riksa Prakoso said that his party continues to encourage increased knowledge of the sharia economic sector, one of which is by means of digital media.

"We continue to move into resilient Islamic banking which is oriented towards sustainability aspects according to environmental, social, and governance pillars (ESG) to provide financial services that are inclusive for the community," he said in a written statement on Sunday, April 2.

According to Riksa, one of the real implementations is through the Tahfidz Quran program for online motorcycle taxi drivers and the public through memorizing the Quran and breaking the fast together.

"We provide free account opening and mobile banking activation facilities for participants who have successfully memorized the holy Quran," he said.

Riksa added, through this event, it is hoped that more people will understand sharia banking products.

"The important point of this social activity is to support the increase in literacy and inclusion through memorizing the Qur'an and to support the community to understand and use Islamic banking products," he said.

On the same occasion, Director of the Muamalat Institute Anton Hendrianto revealed that the momentum of Ramadan is used to get blessings through reading the Quran and literacy facilities to the surrounding community as a form of social responsibility.

"Muamalat Institute and Bank Muamalat Indonesia hope that this initiation can be a driving force for the emergence of tahfidz-tahfidz Quran," said Anton.

Meanwhile, the first Islamic bank in Indonesia carried out its social activities at the Muamalat Institute office, Tanjung Duren Raya, West Jakarta this weekend.
