Bulog Rice Quality Check For Social Assistance, Badanas: Good And Ready To Be Circulated

JAKARTA - Deputy III for the Diversity of Consumption and Food Safety, National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andriko Noto Susanto ensures that the Bulog rice used for social assistance (bansos) of the government has good quality and is ready to be distributed.

This was conveyed after checking with one of Bulog's warehouses, namely the North Surabaya Branch Office Warehouse on Wednesday, March 29.

On this occasion, Andriko, who was present accompanied by the East Java Bulog Regional Leader Ermin Tora, checked the availability of Bulog rice for the food assistance program which will be implemented in the near future.

In addition to checking quantities, he also checked the quality of rice for the food assistance by examining water levels, the content of broken grains, and menir pills.

"Based on joint checks, the quality of rice is in good condition and is ready to be circulated," he said in an official statement from Bapanas, Friday, March 31.

In line with the direction of the Head of NFA, he emphasized, so that quality remains a priority in preparing rice for food assistance, so that the beneficiary community gets good quality rice.

"That way the community will also be more confident in the quality of Bulog rice products," he said.

Meanwhile, East Java Bulog Regional Leader Ermin Tora said the East Java Regional Office Bulog had prepared 30,000 tons of food aid rice.

From the current plan of 34,000 tons, 30,000 tons are ready. Of these, some are still in the packaging process, some are already packaged and ready to be distributed for assistance to the community," he said.

For your information, the Government has started to gradually disburse food assistance starting today. This rock will be distributed to 21,353 million beneficiary families (KPM) according to data from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

This rice aid is part of the implementation of the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) distribution based on Presidential Regulation 125 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Government Food Reserves and followed up with Agency Number 12 of 2022 concerning Government Rice Reserves.

In organizing the CPP, the government can distribute CBP to anticipate, mitigate, and implement the needs set by the government, including price stabilization, overcoming food problems, overcoming food crises, and providing food assistance.
