JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki offers solutions to Thrifting traders at Pasar Senen to sell MSME products, if later they can no longer sell imported clothes.

This was conveyed by Teten in a dialogue with used imported clothing traders at Pasar Senen, today. Also present at the event were the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan and Member of Commission VI DPR Adian Napitupulu.

"If later ladies and gentlemen can no longer sell used clothes, we will think about a solution for selling local product clothes," said Teten, at Pasar Senen, Jakarta, Thursday, March 30.

Instead of getting support for the solution he presented, Teten was actually cheered at by the Thrifting traders who were present at the event.

Wooo... woooo, the voices of the traders. As a result, Teten stopped his remarks.

Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives, Adian Napitupulu, who was present at the event tried to calm the traders. He asked the traders to listen to Teten until they finished talking.

"Don't break the beauty today with 'wooo', you can't say that. If you say that, you don't appreciate us here," said Adian.

After being conducive, Teten resumed his remarks. He said that traders were still allowed to sell used clothes until their stock ran out. Teten said, this is a short-term solution.

"I think in our discussion we were asked to be alone with the Trade Minister, the short-term solution for all of you is still allowed to sell until your goods run out," he said.

However, Teten said the sale of used imported clothing was prohibited. He said, if it continues, it will be dangerous for the seller because there is a sentence waiting.

Therefore, Teten said that he and the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan thought of alternative solutions. One of them is diverting traders to sell domestic products.

"We both put up a body for you. The traders here are sealed, we coordinate with the police, not the ones being chased. The smuggling. They are here to earn a living. If you want to change our business, ready to help, "he said
