Ministry Of PUPR Waits For Study Of Caringin-Puncak-Cianjur Toll Road Study

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of PUPR is still working on a plan to build the Caringin-Puncak-Cianjur Toll Road. The project is known to cost a budget of around Rp. 24 trillion.

Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR, Danang Parikesit, said that the toll road construction has been listed in the General Plan for Toll Road Networks with a target of being built/operated in 2030-2034 and has been approved with a permit for the implementation of study studies or feasibility studies (FS).

"Currently, permission has been given for a study study at PT Matrasarana Arsitama and Swoosh Capital KFT," said Danang at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 28.

Based on data owned by Danang, it is stated that the total cost required for the toll road construction reaches around Rp. 24.37 trillion. This figure consists of the construction for the 5 toll sections along the 51.8 km.

As for the details, first for section 1 along 11.6 km is planned to use costs of up to IDR 3.1 trillion. Then, for section 2 along 6.9 km requires construction costs of IDR 2.4 trillion, and section 3 along 9.7 km costs IDR 8.02 trillion.

"For section 4 along 7.3 km, construction costs around Rp. 1.68 trillion. Then, section 5 along 16.3 km requires a cost of Rp. 9.07 trillion," said Danang.

This year, said Danang, his party is targeting a number of works ranging from feasibility studies, Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL), to Land Procurement Planning Documents (DPPT). Meanwhile, for 2024, it is targeted for land acquisition and Detail Engineering Design (DED).

"The Caringin-Puncak-Cianjur Toll Road Road has been listed in the General Plan for Toll Road Networks with a target of being built or operated in 2030-2034," he said.

Later, he continued, his party will wait for the results of a study study study from PT Matrasarana Arsitama and Swoosh Capital KFT to find out the actual budget required for the construction of the toll road.

"If the initial indications are yes, but the important thing is that we are waiting for their study to determine the number, then how much is the tariff, that is the most important thing for us, so that the tariff does not exceed the ability to pay the community," concluded Danang.
