Wijaya Karya Earns Revenue Of IDR 21.48 Trillion In 2022, Soars 20.16 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) recorded revenues of IDR 21.48 trillion throughout 2022, or grew 20.16 percent year on year (yoy) from the previous IDR 17.80 trillion in 2021.

Quoted from Antara, Monday, March 27, the revenue of state-owned enterprise issuers (BUMN) in the construction sector was contributed by sales in the infrastructure and building segment of IDR 12.09 trillion and the industrial segment of IDR 7.02 trillion.

Then, sales in the energy and industrial plant segment amounted to Rp3.87 trillion, realty and property amounted to Rp291.21 billion, investments amounted to Rp190.46 billion, and hotels amounted to Rp708.17 billion.

After that, these various incomes were reduced by elimination of IDR 2.71 trillion, so that WIKA's 2022 revenue was recorded at IDR 21.48 trillion.

However, in line with the increase in revenue, the company recorded a cost of revenue which increased to Rp19.27 trillion, from the previous Rp16.11 trillion in 2021.

Then, sales expenses were recorded at IDR 4.76 billion, general and administrative expenses of IDR 722.17 billion, and other expenses of IDR 1.71 trillion.

On the other hand, the company managed to record other incomes of IDR 1.55 trillion. With that, Wijaya Karya's operating profit throughout 2022 collected IDR 1.71 trillion.

Furthermore, WIKA still recorded a financial burden of IDR 1.37 trillion, an income tax expense of IDR 374.56 billion, an association loss share of IDR 99.35 billion, and a joint venture profit share of IDR 306.72.

With these various records, the profit before income tax recorded by the state-owned construction company amounted to IDR 176.08 billion.

In the end, the high number of expenses caused WIKA to still record a net loss of Rp59.59 billion until the end of 2022, or inversely proportional to the previous record net profit of Rp117.6 billion in 2021.

Thus, the basic profit per share of WIKA was recorded minus 6.64 or inversely proportional to last year which was recorded at 13.12 per basic share.

Until the end of 2022, the company recorded liabilities of IDR 57.57 trillion, while equity was recorded at IDR 17.49 trillion, bringing the company's total assets to IDR 75.06 trillion.
