MT Kristin Burns, Pertamina Ensures Safe Fuel Stock

PT Pertamina (Persero) ensured that the supply of fuel oil (BBM) for the Mataram area was not disrupted after the burning incident of the MT Kristin fuel carrier on Sunday, March 26 at 14:50 WITA.

"We ensure that the fuel supply for the Lombok area is safe, the supply of fuel for Lombok through the Integrated Ampenan Terminal and Budget Fuel Terminal, Bali is ensured to be safe with the current stock of Pertalite at 4,200 kiloliters (KL) in the Sanggaran, while in Ampenan the stock of Pertalite is 3,200 KL," said Acting Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Taufiq Kurniawan, quoted Monday, March 27.

Regarding the incident, he continued, to maintain fuel stock security, Pertamina also made efforts to divert supplies.

For IT Ampenan, a supply transfer will be carried out using the MT Olivya ship with a cargo of 2,500 KL, whose position is currently in the western waters of the Bima Regency and for the Sanggaran BBM Terminal, a supply transfer will be carried out by land from IT Manggis Bali while waiting for the next ship supply from MT Elisa I carrying 1000 KL pertalite, will arrive tomorrow morning in the Budget.

The public is advised not to panic, because Pertamina ensures that the distribution of fuel for the Lombok and surrounding areas will not be hampered.

Previously, MT Kristin, who was carrying a cargo of 5,900 KL Pertalite, was originally scheduled to dock for loading at the Ampenan Fuel Terminal of 2700 KL and the remaining 3200 KL will continue their journey to the Sanggaran BBM Terminal, Bali after that.
