60 Thousand People Will Be Solid TMII During The New Year's Celebration, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Tititp Messages To Candi Tourism Park

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno directly monitors the readiness of the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) facility, Jakarta, ahead of the 2023 new year holiday period.

During the visit which was held on Tuesday, December 27 yesterday, Sandiaga said this review was aimed at ensuring the readiness of TMII as the peak location for the 2023 New Year's Eve celebrations.

"Because Taman Mini is the center (celebration) for New Year's Eve on December 31 and the people who attended (around) 60,000, of course, must ensure safety, health and security (TMII)," Sandiaga said in a written statement, Wednesday, December 28.

Based on the review carried out, Sandiaga assessed that there are several things that need to be improved by PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) as the manager of TMII, such as the location of a more shady ticket queue, TMII promotions that need to be intensified to the wider community, increasing socialization regarding online registration of TMII entrance tickets, and adding units of electric vehicles as transportation in the TMII area.

"I also sent a message to the management that (TMII) is now a new destination icon that has been revitalized and I appreciate it because it is pedestrian friendly, and in terms of electric vehicles have also been provided," said Sandiaga.

"And there are new rides that will definitely make tourists feel safe, comfortable, and fun. I checked earlier that there were 700 jobs managed here, of course they can be used to improve services at TMII as part of the pride of traveling in Indonesia," he continued.

In addition, Sandiaga also invited local governments in Indonesia to use regional platforms in TMII as a means of promoting tourism in their respective regions.

"I will invite regional heads and tourism offices from the province to use this Taman Mini as a means of promoting tourism and investment more intensively," he concluded.
